Sea Venture

The SEA VENTURE is a revolutionary and innovative 35 ft glass bottom boat that is designed and manufactured in Europe using high quality materials and built strict to marine standards. The vessels hull and superstructure is constructed of rolled and formed Hi Grade marine AliMag aluminum plate and finished in a corrosion resistant epoxy coating.

The vessel is constructed and certified to strict Dutch Certification Institute (DCI) Lloyd’s Netherlands Survey, ABYC standards and EC directives 2003/44EC – 94/25/EC.

Conventional glass bottom boats, including fully and semi submersible type observation vessels operate at relatively slow speeds and the majority of the excursion time is spent travelling to and from the various underwater sightseeing locations.

The SEA VENTURE is a “Looker 350” model, its advanced concept, futuristic design and unique hydrofoil wave piercing system allows the vessel to literally fly on the surface of the water at speeds up to 40 knots. This ability enables the SEA VENTURE to access pristine outlying reef structures quickly and in comfort, opening up a greater selection and variety of hard and soft coral reefs along its colorful marine life inhabitants. The SEA VENTURE can carry up to 30 passengers and 2 crew at speed while maintaining the utmost in seaworthiness and stability assuring greater passenger comfort while reducing the affects of sea sickness.

It has one of the biggest optical spheroid viewing ports available anywhere, the 2m x 3m optical port enables it to project one of the largest and clearest fields of view in the world. The viewing port is specially constructed using a modified acrylic that enables crystal clear vision which allows a more natural view of the reefs amazing color variations. The incorporated curved shape and 15mm thickness assures the safety comparable to the strength of a solid fiberglass boat hull.

Underway passengers can enjoy the scenery in comfort on the elevated upper deck or relax in the lower observation cabin while taking in the views through the large forward facing ports.

The SEA VENTURE is fitted with all amenities including an on board toilet with washroom facilities. A swimming ladder and a fresh water shower is located on the aft deck to allow guests to wash off after their snorkeling adventures on pristine coral reefs or just to cool off. Swimming and relaxing in one of the lagoons pure white sandy bottomed protected keys are just some of the attractions available.

The SEA VENTURE has the latest digital satellite GPS, radar and sonar navigation equipment to enable the vessel to operate safely at night. Evening and night cruises will open up a whole new and exciting area of reef and marine life observation. A newly developed hybrid underwater lighting system featuring Ultra Hi-Output LEDs fitted with specialized optical lenses for maximum light spread and enhanced illumination to greater depths gives our passengers unprecedented evening and night reef viewing opportunities. A Hi Resolution underwater camera system is fitted below the waterline to provide our guests with real time video feed of the marine activities taking place below and displayed on the Hi Definition screens located in the observation cabin and on the upper deck.

The advanced technical design of this vessel results in a substantial reduction in surface friction and the resulting drag that is inherent in all displacement type hulls.
The decreased friction and drag reduces the vessels fuel consumption and the output of exhaust emissions, the eco- friendly SEA VENTURE is your fast space shuttle to the fascinating tropical underwater world.

The boat Looker 350 is certified under class C according to EC standards by the Notify Body DCI (Dutch Certification Institute) and Lloyds Netherlands.
